FAQ

How does SoundPull work, and where does my data go?

SoundPull reads the video you choose and extracts its audio track as an M4A (AAC) file directly on your iPhone, using Apple's AVFoundation framework. Nothing is sent to our servers because we don't have any. Your videos and the extracted audio never leave your device.

Which files can I use, and what do I get out?

You can pick a video from your photo library or the Files app, or send one to SoundPull from another app's share sheet. The output is always an M4A file containing high-quality AAC audio. Some videos with no audio track, unsupported codecs, or DRM protection cannot be processed.

Why does SoundPull ask for photo library access?

So you can choose a video from your library to extract its audio. SoundPull only reads the specific video you pick, processes it on your device, and never uploads or scans your library.

It says "This video has no audio track" or "Protected content can't be used." What does that mean?

SoundPull can only extract audio from videos that actually contain an audio track and that you have the right to use. It cannot process DRM-protected content (for example, movies or shows purchased or rented from a store, or streamed media), and it does not bypass any copy protection. Please use videos you recorded yourself or otherwise own the rights to.

What does the purchase unlock?

SoundPull includes a small number of free extractions. The one-time purchase ("Unlock") removes that limit so you can extract audio without restriction. It is a single non-consumable purchase — there is no subscription.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open the App, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I save or share the extracted audio?

After extraction, tap Save / Share to open the iOS share sheet. From there you can choose Save to Files, AirDrop it, or send it to another app.

How do I delete data stored by the App?

Uninstall the App from your device. iOS will delete all locally stored data automatically.
